Ombudsman are trained advocates who visit long-term care facilities to build relationships with residents, educate them about their rights, and help address concerns.
Ombudsman volunteers:
- Visit residents in long-term care communities
- Listen to concerns and help elevate resident voices
- Educate residents about their rights and available resources
- Advocate for dignity, choice, and quality care
No prior experience is required — VOYCE provides comprehensive training and ongoing support. The most important qualifications are compassion, reliability, and a commitment to making sure every resident is heard. Volunteers must pass a background check and participate in 30 hours of training.
Help us celebrate aging with style, confidence, and joy.
