Kristy Bull, BSBA, CMC, Care Manager, Care Choice Care Management presents The Role of a Care Manager

Care managers represent a growing trend to help full-time, employed family caregivers care for loved ones living close by or far away. They are also particularly useful in helping caregivers at home find the right services and cope with their burdens.

Navigating the systems of care can feel like a complex and confusing experience. With so many choices and options to consider, a personal care manager can help residents and their families make effective decisions on care choices and find the right services.

This session will show you how to:

  1. Assess the level and type of care needed and learn what is involved in developing a care plan.
  2. Understand the steps to start a care plan and how to keep it functioning.
  3. Learn about the important role of the care manager to assist with arranging for legal services as well as assistance with applying and qualifying for Medicaid.
