Help us celebrate those who stood strong and championed our mission through dark days as we honor four (4) individuals for their outstanding efforts during 2020 with the following awards:

Beacon of Hope • Community Choice

Awards and Nominations

Celebration for Compassion and Care will feature four (4) awards recognizing individuals in the long-term care community that have shown exemplary care and advocacy for residents.

Awarded to one or more individuals that have gone above and beyond to champion resident rights and/or promote the dignity of the older and aging population. This award is an in-house award with the awardee(s) determined by VOYCE.

  • Qualifications:
    • Individual(s) that has committed time, resources, etc. to enhance long-term care residents and aging care, positively impacting the ability of residents/older adults to access support systems, self-advocate, or maintain dignity as care receivers.

Awarded to an individual that has showcased a high level of care for individuals. This person is the star caregiver that goes above and beyond all expectations.  Examples: Engages residents in stimulating conversation/activity, connects and shows an exceptional level of care for their care receivers, innovates systems to provide better quality of care.

  • Qualifications:
    • Employee within a long-term care facility, home health, or hospice.
    • Nominations can be submitted by employer, residents/family, and coworkers.

Awarded to an individual that has shown resilience in caregiving. This person may have persevered in the face of obstacles, provides solutions to problems when they arise, and overall has a positive attitude. 

  • Qualifications:
    • Employee within a long-term care facility, home health, hospice, hospitals, and clinical services. (Open to clinical and non-clinical staff such as activity directors, housekeeping staff, food service, etc.)               
    • Nominations can be submitted by employer, residents/family, and coworkers.

Awarded to a caregiver that has shown exceptional care. This person is nominated and voted for by the community.

  • Qualifications:
    • An individual working in the long-term care community: long-term care facility, home health, hospice, family caregiver, etc.
    • Nominations can be submitted by employer, residents/family, coworkers, relatives, and friends of the nominee.
