It has been more than half a year since we started fighting COVID-19, but people are still facing difficulties finding reliable information. Protocols vary from state to state, and policy has been changing rapidly. That is why it is hard for people to catch up on all the news worldwide, especially for older adults who cannot easily access the information. Thus, VOYCE wants to address the most up-to-date news of COVID-19 and long-term care in Missouri.

Thank you for reaching out, Blanche. Nixa, Missouri is in a region covered by the Council of Churches of the Ozarks. Their website is http://ccozarks.org/ombudsman/. The Regional Ombudsman Coordinator there is named Connie Payne. I would recommend reaching out to her at 419-862-3598 or cpayne@ccozarks.org, as she would better be able to answer your question.

I have a lot of left over catheter supplies that Hospice had brought to my house for my husband. He has since passed and I would like to donate them. Do you know where I can donate? Thank you, Sue

Hello, Susan. I do not know of any places that accept catheter supplies. However, you can contact this organization: https://www.stlhelp.org/how-to-donate-equipment. They might be able to help you find a place to donate these supplies.
