As reported by KMOX, Missouri House Bill 1387, which allows residents of nursing homes and other long-term care communities to place cameras in their rooms, passed out of the Missouri Senate’s Committee on Seniors, Families, and Children on May 6, 2020.

What is Happening with the Bill Now?

An identical bill, Senate Bill 909, was passed out of the same committee on March 11, 2020.  Both bills await being taken up by the full Senate. 

The Missouri House passed the House version of the bill on February 24, 2020.

Supporters of the “Authorized Electronic Monitoring in Long-Term Care Facilities Act” are encouraged to contact their State Senator to show their support.
