Organizational Summary

VOYCE provides St. Louis and Northeast Missouri regions with long-term care ombudsman services, mental wellness support for people living in skilled nursing communities, and information and referral services for people seeking long-term care solutions. 

Position Summary              

The Administrative and Policy Coordinator is a part-time, non-exempt position that supports VOYCE’s administrative functions and the new Elder and Vulnerable Person’s Abuse Systems Reform Program.

The Administrative and Policy Coordinator reports to the Policy and Advocacy Director with the involvement of the Executive Director.

Elder and Vulnerable Person’s Abuse Systems Reform Program 60%

  • Manage virtual and in-person meeting logistics, including keeping notes and creating follow-up communications.
  • Research and summarize state-level policy.
  • Help to build and manage relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders around projects
  • Manage and keep up-to-date contact information
  • Create regular email newsletters
  • Assist in developing and implementing a campaign to reach adult survivors of abuse
  • Work with partners to assist in developing deliverables for the program

Administrative 40%

  • Enter daily donations into the database, prepare donor acknowledgments, and deposit
  • Code bills according to prescribed class and accounts, assisting with preparation for monthly financials
  • Manage donors and partner database (Bloomerang)
  • Provide pre-meeting and follow-up support to the Executive Director
  • General administrative support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Highly organized with the ability to set up and maintain processes and ensure completion of delegated tasks required
  • Strong data analysis and program evaluation skills required
  • Knowledge of the impact that systemic racism, discrimination against the members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other oppressive systems have on the quality of healthcare provided to members of our community preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including comfort on the phone required
  • Personal life experience with long-term care or knowledge of the industry landscape preferred
  • Experience as a volunteer and donor for a nonprofit organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology, public health, community health, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in organizations focusing on the aging population preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google for Nonprofits, Zoom, Canva, email marketing tools, and Bloomerang database donor software or similar products

Compensation

  • Starting salary of $23/hour.
  • VOYCE matches up to 3% of annual salary in a Simple IRA.
  • Employees accrue up to 15 days per year in PTO (prorated)  in their first year of employment plus ten holidays.
  • Hourly, non-exempt position with 20 hours per week expected.

VOYCE is located in South St. Louis County. Flexible schedule is available, however required meetings will take place each Wednesday at 10:00 AM and the fourth Friday of each month at noon.
