Vicente F. (Vince) Estrada is the Founder and Principal of The Leadership & Development Institute (LDI), a nonprofit organization that provides consultation and facilitation of strategic planning and process-based organization effectiveness for other nonprofit service organizations and faith-based institutions.
Vince worked for 57 years in the business world. This work included 10 years with Monsanto as a senior engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio and 47 years with MTS World, LLC (MTS), an international firm based in St. Louis, MO and Houston, TX specializing in consultation and implementation of industrial training and process management systems. Prior to his most recent position as Principal International Consultant at MTS, Vince was principal owner of the company for 25 years. In January 2012, as part of a succession plan which he led, he sold the company to a long-standing MTS associate to ensure continuity in the institution while ushering in a new generation of leadership. As part of this agreement, Estrada remained active with the organization for an additional 7 years to further develop the international business and implement resulting projects. His international consulting endeavors have included English, Spanish, and Portuguese interventions in 31 countries.
Vince holds a Chemical engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a master of Business Administration from Xavier University. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a certified Development Dimensions International (DDI) instructor. In the early 1990s, Estrada served on a 4-member panel to advise the Department of Defense on the privatization of non-combat training.
Born in Cuba, Vince received a world-class primary and secondary Jesuit education in his home country and completed his university studies in the U.S. before officially immigrating to the United States in 1960. Together with his also-Cuban-born wife Emi, Vince became a United States citizen in 1971. Among the many blessing that fuel his ministry are the open arms of the USA after the Estradas lost their country of birth. Added to that blessing is a clan-sized family of 32...and growing!
The Estradas reside in Chesterfield, MO and have been members of the Incarnate Word parish for over 40 years.
